UNMASKING

Never really knowing, how much she hid from the world

With gentle understanding, allowing her wings to unfurl

She started to feel courage, she might let herself be seen

Not dwelling on past mistakes, thoughts of what might have been

Focused on her present life

Now nothing can come between

Not between the acceptance she has found within her heart
